The corner of Central and Myrtle has been undergoing tons of changes lately.  The neighborhood is booming. There’s a new coffee/ice cream/juice spot : Sweet Dulce in the triangle building between Central and Myrtle.

And most recently the vacant lot at the corner has been taken over by Buendia Productions. A non-profit organization based in Sunset Park, Brooklyn that supports local artists and students in creating large scale murals and art projects throughout the borough. Their mission is to unite neighborhoods through involvement in arts in their own communities and to give kids a chance to create large scale projects legally in spaces that are in need of revitalization.

The mural on the corner is an amazing mix of many artists and colours, you all should go check the progress of the work, new additions are painted everyday.

Also check out their website at Buendia Productions, which also has a video of the murals progress.

Has anybody seen a very slick black, white and brown leather bike cruising around Williamsburg… Well this is the new Dutch Master from Core77, a limited edition bicycle handbuilt by KT Higgins. Making it’s big debut at the Soho Apple store this Saturday, July 11th at 3pm, make sure to go! It will also be on view from the 11th-18th of July at the Ace Hotel New York at 20 West 29th Street.

This bike is gorgeous. Created using a Worksman cruiser frame manufactured in Queens, with each component specifically selected to create one hell of a bike. Go check out the Core77 site and learn more about this beautiful piece of history. Oh yeah, this bike also has pegs. Does it get any better.
