Samsung pays homage to the E700 with the limited edition Galaxy Z Flip5 Retro
Samsung is releasing a limited edition Galaxy Z Flip5 in selected markets to pay homage to the SGH-E700.
The SGH-E700 and its Impact
The SGH-E700 was released 20 years ago and was the first phone from Samsung to have a built-in antenna. This phone played a critical role in strengthening Samsung’s position in the phone industry.
The Design and Features
The new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 Retro is designed to reflect the unique elements of the SGH-E700. It features the combination of indigo blue and silver tones, a UX design reinterpretation of 2000s pixel graphics, and an exclusive animation on the Flex window that portrays a cityscape.
In addition to the unique design, the Galaxy Z Flip5 Retro comes with several exclusive merchandise items. These include three Flipsuit cards featuring logos from different eras of Samsung’s history, a Flipsuit case, and a collector card engraved with a unique serial number.
Availability and Pricing
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 Retro is available in limited quantities in Korea, the UK, France, Germany, Spain, and Australia. The pricing details have not been disclosed, but it is expected to cost more than the standard Galaxy Z Flip 5, which starts at S$1,498.
